Find A Flaw

Welcome to “Find a Flaw”

The fabulous, fascinating, fun and fast new way to make the world you live in a better place. 😉

“Find a Flaw” is simple. there are no rules, yet 😉 All you have to do, is log into this site when you recognize that there is a flaw in the way something is operating in our lives, post it in a comments box, bringing it to all our attentions, and then we will all know it and see it and recognize it when it comes across our paths again in our lives and we’ll know how to deal with it to either eliminate it completely or mitigate its effects until we can find a way to rid ourselves of the error in our human constructions completely.

Wordsmithing for success

For example:

1) The Right and Wrong Flaw: The most common flaw we find everyone making everywhere we turn is the human flaw of telling someone they are wrong for what they think or feel.  If a person is sharing their insights with you and telling you their truths from their perspectives then to tell them they are wrong is to miss the opportunity to broaden your horizon of understanding and to profit from the experience of others and is to limit the scope of your comprehension.

I’m not talking about when someone doesn’t have their facts straight. If someone has incorrect information then you just need to go to the source to reconcile the facts and get everyone on the same page.

I’m refereing to opinions, views, interpretations and beliefs. No two people can ever see the same thing in the exact same way. It just can’t happen. You can be close, even very close, but you can never be exactly the same in your observations as another because we are all different, we are all at different stages in our learning curves of life, have different sensitivities, come from different upbringings, have different agendas and use different filters and vantage points through which we access and compute data. It’s impossible philosophically, intellectually, physically and metaphysically to see things in exactly the same way anyone else does. Which is to our advantage, not to our disadvantage. It’s a great thing or as the French would say, “Vivre Le Difference !”.

The more information we have the better and more comprehensively we will understand the world around us. The more diverse the perspectives we have to assess a situation, an issue, a person, a problem, a fact, the more apt we are to come to a better and more comprehensive conclusion about it and the more enabled we are to act upon our understandings in a more successful, forward thinking and complete way.

Therefore, if we just simply stop telling people they are wrong whenever we hear some information that contrasts from that which we’ve gotten on our own, and if we just listen, absorb, consider, incorporate, embrace and call our own, the truths of others, we will move our  species and humanity farther forward faster sooner to a higher, better facilitated wisdom and evolve to a greatly improved spiritual and  intellectually ageeable space.

Speaking of “Farther Forward Faster Sooner”, to really give this better way of doing things a chance and the effort to fix the flaw some traction, the next time someone tells you that you are wrong or you hear someone telling another that they are wrong, simply, gently say:

“Whoa, don’t say wrong. We don’t do that anymore, That’s old, that’s tired, that doesn’t help. I may not be completely correct, but what I have to share is not wrong, it is correct from my perspective. I’ll share what I know if you’ll share what you know and we’ll merge the two together and see what higher truth we can make out of that. But just don’t say I’m wrong. Saying someone is wrong is dysfunctional and went out with the Mayan calendar. 😀

See how simple that was. Voila !!! Better world already.

2) The Accountability Flaw: This is an incredibly reckless and dangerous and deadly flaw that needs fixing immediately. The sooner we fix “The Accountability Flaw” the sooner our future will start to become safer. The Accountability Flaw refers to our widespread failure to attach personal accountability to consequence. Though this applies everywhere, let’s just focus in on our politicians. As with “Cause and Effect” the consequences of the decisions made by our politician today will effect our world tomorrow. Conversely, many of the problems of today are a result of bad or careless or ill conceived decisions made by the politicians of yesterday whom are no longer in office. Because we do not hold the politicians of yesterday accountable enough for the problems we  experience today, a politician of today is more likely to make a questionable decision or take an easy out and less responsible path today knowing that once he or she is out of office , the problem will rest on others hands and it will be someone elses problem when that politician will be out 0f the picture, and therefore released from blame.

However, if our system of government provided for a tracer, where periodic evaluations were made and the results were publically released regarding the effects of each and every politicians decisions and that those politicians would be subject to a tracking monitor that maintains their names and those who made a policy change along witn them and the date of an economic alteration in our operating systems and if a politician knew that their actions and decisions will not only stay with them the rest of their lives, but will stay attached to their names (and bank accounts) into perpetuity, that politician may think differently about cutting the budget from the FDA food safety monitoring programs that no longer protect and approve the foods we import and eat at home.

3) The Misguided Attack Flaw: Speaking of Cause and Effect, “The Misguided Attack Flaw” refers to the fact that we humans tend to immediately attack the symptoms before we attack the cause. This is going to be a hard flaw to fix because in most cases, attacking the symptom and not the cause is very profitable. Take today’s eastern medicine or the pharmaceutical corporations. Many of their services and an enormous amount of their products are aimed at reducing and dealing with the symptoms, and not the cause because to eliminate the cause is to eliminate the demand and the revenue stream and money that makes their world go round.

How to fix this could be a dilemma. You’d have to make their world go round another way. Right now, the only system we have for evaluating the worth a public corporation has to us is in its ability to generate financial profits. Completely excluding the value or worth of their benefits to the overall welfare of humanity. Unless you make a lot of money, you’re not considered that valuable to Wall Street.

However, if Wall Street created a sliding scale system of evaluation that rates a companies worth by its potential to help humanity and tracked its efficacy in doing so, people could invest in those companies who’s services we believe will benefit society (by attacking the cause), and if we’re correct in our belief in them and they’re successful the price of the stock would go up, even if profits didn’t, and the system of buying and selling stocks would then shift to being used to profit all humanity and not just individual investors bank accounts.

If we can repurpose the system of investing away from only benefitting the investor directly, but to include the indirect benefits of also aiding our entire humanity which trickles down to the investor as well, and using a system of evaluation that puts a numerical value on local jobs created, then Wall Street could be transformed into a job creating utility as opposed to being more profitable with the self defeating process of job elimination as it is now.

 4) The Separation Flaw: We are far more inclined to look at each other and far less inclined to look to each other or to look with each other to find our truths. Changing our perspective to see ourselves not as an I but as a we, and all as One, we could really make some progress against hunger and hate.

5) The Falicy of Age. The disparity of how old you feel and how old you appear to others vs the chronilogical number of years you’ve been alive is all over the place. Some people are old from day one and will always be old. Some people are young at heart ad will always be young at heart.

My grandfather lived to be 100. When asked what the secret to his longevity was he said he stopped doing the math and actually forgot how old he was and substituted it with how old he felt. The more he realized how he felt younger than most of the people around him who seemed to be getting older faster, the younger he became and  stayed. He felt that the preoccupation with age as defined by the number of years you’ve been around aged people faster because it made people feel 0lder then they needed to. If you expect to be old when you’re 40, you will be. If you think 50 is really old, when you get to 50, you will be. If you think it doesn’t matter and that you should just live everyday with a youthful heart and attitude, so shall you be.

The better question to be asking is not how old are you today, it’s how old do you feel today, or even better, how young do you feel today. At least that gives you a change to say, I feell great and I feel young and to experience that.

To quote James Allen: “As you thinketh, so shall it be”

6) The Blame Game Flaw.

7) The Limitation Imposition Flaw.
Here’s a Big One, that I suspect will be getting larger and more important and valuable to us the more we look at it.

The Limitation Imposition Flaw is everywhere and in everyone to some varying degree- no exceptions.

We all know what we know, and pretty much everyone is smart enough to know that they don’t know everything, even though some speak in a way that makes them sound like a “Know – It- All”, even they will probably admit they don’t know it all.

However, knowing what we know, and even knowing that what we think we know is really only what we perceive, the more we look at the limits of “Perception” more we’ll uncover how much of what there is to know is built on faulty or inadequately facilitated perceptions and we’ll see that so many of our most uncomfortable , frustrating and even anger provoking conflicts arise when we’re trying to impose our way of thinking or viewing a topic onto a subject that is really talking about something else or trying to make a different point that gets lost because we think they’re meaning or addressing something.

One simple example is when some petty arguments seem to be blowing out of proportion, but then realize it’s because what’s really trying to be expressed is about something else.

Like that children’s toy,  the board with different shaped holes in it and pegs where you learn to put the round peg the round hole and the square peg in the square hole.
What if someone is talking about something that has a round peg to its nature and you don’t have a round hole to associate it with, you’ll try to make it fit into one of the shapes that you already have. Or what if you are sharing your truth about something with someone who has an agenda has them hearing in different framework than what yo
